DelfMEMS appoints Cybele Rolland as CEO

Villeneuve d’Ascq & Paris, France – 1 September, 2014 -- DelfMEMS, a leading player in the field of RF components and developer of innovative RF MEMS switching solutions, announces the appointment of Cybele Rolland as CEO and Herve Martin as Executive Chairman.

Cybele Rolland, 43, joined the company 5 years ago as CFO. She previously held multiple management positions in industrial companies such as in purchasing, supply chain, cost controlling and finance. Cybele graduated from ESCP Europe and holds an executive MBA.

There has been a lot of publicity about the potential of RF-MEMS switching but DelfMEMS is able to actually demonstrate the performances required for the next generation of handsets and beyond
with ultra-low insertion loss, outstanding isolation and superior linearity to enable full uplink carrier aggregation. It is a challenging marketplace but DelfMEMS has the solution that everyone has been waiting for according to the company. DelfMEMS has reached a key stage in its growth and is close to freezing its production process and completing its initial RF-MEMS switch products.

The board also announces the nomination of Herve Martin as Executive Chairman of the company. Herve Martin, a seasoned industry veteran, joined the board in 2010 and was appointed Chairman in 2012. The company will benefit from his expertise in technology, processes and certifications.

“During the last 3 years, DelfMEMS has finalized the technology, demonstrating performances matching the future market’s requirements,” said Herve Martin. “With her experience and great knowledge of the company, Cybele will direct the product introduction and establish the company as the market leader in RF switches for mobile phone applications.”
Olivier Millet, founder of the company and board member, added: “RF MEMS have been the Holy Grail of the Front End Module industry for the past ten years. The current successes of DelfMEMS were due to its ability to think out of the box. During the last five years the value brought by Cybele has been huge and the board is proud to see her accepting the challenge.”
The board wants to thank Guillaume d’Eyssautier who led the company for the last 18 months as CEO and will now pursue other opportunities.
